Littleton & Rue Funeral Home and Crematory is a place to celebrate life. The design looks beyond the physical pragmatic requirements of a multi-generational gathering hall and takes a deep dive into the psychological features of architectural storytelling. The new building includes a lodge-style gathering area with an indoor fireplace, an outdoor patio, a new kitchen, additional offices, two additional crematories: one for humans and one for pets, and the addition of pet services that has a designated entry and reception. The new structure is a tribute to the history of the existing building, while making the building feel like an extension that is looking toward the future. Honoring someone who has passed on helps you to look at life with a sense of joy, and it begins inside of this new addition to the complex.
