Kenton, OH
2016
This project consists of a 14,500 S.F. district headquarters office building and a 12,800 S.F. vehicular and equipment storage facility, located on an 8-acre site developed to support the operational needs of a rural electric cooperative. The site includes an electric pole and transformer storage yard, fueling station, and a 1.5-acre geothermal pond, creating a fully integrated operations campus. The office building houses administrative functions, including 15 private offices, a critical systems SCADA control room for critical systems SCADA control room, large conference room, an 1,800 S.F. meeting room, kitchenette, and staff lounge. The adjacent warehouse provides space for fleet vehicles, equipment storage, and maintenance operations. The facility was designed with a focus on efficiency, durability, and long-term performance. The campus is heated and cooled using a geothermal system, and incorporates high-efficiency electrical systems including LED lighting and load management technology to maximize emergency generator capacity.
