Johnson St. Paris (JSP) Fire Station
St. Paris, OH
2010
This project is focused on its program of office space, meeting rooms, scope, high clearance bay vehicle storage, equipment specific designed storage, and it is an example of a dignified building design that incorporates the efficiency of a pre-engineered structure with a distinguished and residential-scaled brick exterior. Those physical parts of the design accented with a cupola and exterior lighting gives the facility a relaxing, welcoming feel to the community, which was a client goal.
This project consists of a new 20,084 square foot fire station building consisting of a 10,656 square foot pre-engineered metal building for apparatus bays with a 936 square foot mezzanine, an attached 7,904 square foot wood framed office/living building, and a 588 square foot 3 story training tower. This station won a design award from the Masonry Institute of Dayton for “Excellence Award In Masonry 2010”
