Eaton Township Fire Station
Grafton, OH
2026
McCall Sharp Genet is providing architectural services for a new 16,000-square-foot fire station for Eaton Township, designed to support efficient emergency response operations while enhancing the daily experience of its firefighters. Originally initiated in 2021, the project has been reactivated and is currently in the Construction Documents phase.
The facility is thoughtfully organized to separate public, operational, and living functions, creating a highly functional and intuitive layout. The station includes five drive-through apparatus bays with an additional dedicated decontamination bay, along with turnout gear storage and training support spaces to promote safety and operational readiness.
Interior spaces are designed to support both the physical and mental well-being of firefighters, including bunk rooms, a dayroom, kitchen, fitness area, and administrative offices. A community/training room provides a flexible space for public engagement, department training, and community events, reinforcing the station’s role as a civic resource.
The site design accommodates both public and staff needs, with clearly defined visitor parking at the front of the building and secure firefighter parking at the rear. A training tower further enhances on-site training capabilities, allowing the department to maintain readiness without leaving the facility.
The result is a modern, efficient, and community-focused fire station that reflects Eaton Township’s commitment to public safety and long-term service.
